Louise loves making pottery!
She designs small slab built creatures and wheel thrown vessels in white earthenware with a traditional majolica glaze
Each piece is given a contemporary hand painted design with distinctive smiley animals and birds.
She enjoys sharing ceramic skills and so runs pottery experience days from her Kettering workshop.
She loves making things people treasure and use, and most importantly give them pleasure and make them smile.
She can customise designs for special occasions, or add a personal message, contact her to discuss.
Louise established a ceramics business in her early twenties, and when children came along, diversified her career to take in management of children’s services, she now balances both; some of the time working with children and families services and for the rest both making hand-made pieces that can be used and that make people smile and offering others the chance to so the same with tailor-made workshops in her Kettering workshop.
Spend a satisfyingly creative day learning to throw and make pottery, to your own design, with Louise in her Kettering Studio.
The day sesssions provide the opportunity to have a go at throwing on the potter’s wheel with white earthenware clay, finding out what make clay tick, by trying out other techniques such as hand building, moulds, or coiling.
The workshops accommodate up to 4 people, any more and it gets crowded and you won’t get the right amount of time to ask questions, you are equally welcome to book for a group of this number, or just book as a single.
